And when you come before God, don’t turn that into a theatrical production either. Here’s what I want you to do: Find a quiet, secluded place so you won’t be tempted to role-play before God.  Just be there as simply and honestly as you can manage. We continue our journey through the Sermon on the Mount, praying slowly and attentively with the first verses Matthew chapter 6 today.

Apologies for a bit of background noise in this episode: the clicking of the mic on its stand, and the gregarious robin who sings outside my window. This little robin certainly plays to the crowd!! May it not be too great a distraction for you as you pray.
