Holy Week

The Way of the Cross (recorded 2021)

Here you will find an Audio Recording of the Church of England’s Way of the Cross. The audio meditation guides you through 15 stations of the cross. You might choose to pray one or two stations per day, or you might set aside 90 minutes for a mini-retreat to pray the full cycle at once. On this page you will find the recording with information about timing for each station.

Lectio Divina (recorded 2018)

This series of 20-minute audio sessions is designed to walk you through the incidents of Holy Week deeply and attentively.

I have often found myself slightly repelled by the pain of the events of Holy Week. I remember once setting aside time to pray with the stations of the cross, and coming away from the experience prematurely, feeling overwhelmed and not-really-up-to-the task. How can I “stay awake” and present to such agony?

The events leading up to Christ’s crucifixion are difficult, yet to avoid them is to miss out on strength and depth and beauty which dwells deeply our faith.

May praying with these recordings help you to see Jesus more clearly, understand Jesus more fully and love Jesus more wholeheartedly.

Every blessing, friends.
