Lent

Dear Friends,

As we begin our journey together into Lent, I wonder how you plan to mark the season, if at all?

Here at Contemplative at Home we will continue journeying with Jesus through a series of Imaginitive Contemplations on the theme of encounters. We will go, in our mind’s eye, to the moment when Jesus met Zaccheus, Nicodemus, and the woman at the well. One week, we will be present to Mary at the annunciation, as we mark annunciation sunday.

If, like me, you are hoping to be more attentive to your practice of prayer during Lent, you might find the examen prayers here at Contemplative at Home helpful. My personal favourite is the After Work Examen – whether I’ve been working that day or not!

However you are able to engage in lenten practice this year, may it help you to see Christ more clearly, to love Christ more deeply and to walk in closer step with Him.
