Centering Prayer

Dear Friends,

I’m so pleased to offer you an introduction to the practice of Centering Prayer.

In Centering Prayer we use a word or short phrase to help us maintain an attentive awareness of the presence of God.

We share five minutes of silence together in this meditation, beholding God as God beholds us.

I’ll be very interested to hear how you find it!

This meditation is dedicated to the students at Warwick University, and indeed students everywhere, during exam season.

Warmest Blessings
Lissy

Contemplative at Home offers guided meditative prayer – space to slow down and listen to the truth that is being born out of God’s love for you today – drawing on Ignatian spirituality and at times, Lectio Divina.

Thank you for the centering prayer practice with your calming, tranquil voice and good pacing. I would love more of these centering prayer meditations maybe witha a longer time of silence—10 minutes???
I am re listening to Thomas Keating’s Grace of Lent Retreat from Spirituality and Practice and trying to reconvene with regular centering or contemplative prayer. This audio practice from you was so very timely and appreciated!
    Thank you deeply
